The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, adapted primary and upper secondary school, and adult education. Dackeskolan is a vocational upper secondary school with approximately 300 students. We offer education in areas such as industry, construction, electricity, goldsmithing, vehicles, and hospitality. We conduct all our education in close collaboration with the business community and external companies.

Job Responsibilities

The goal and mission of the operation is to promote learning where the individual is stimulated to acquire and develop knowledge and values. The school, in collaboration with homes, shall promote students' all-round personal development into active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals and citizens. The teacher shall, based on the set goals, work to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially, and actively influence and stimulate students to achieve these goals.

You create teaching that, based on your interpretation and understanding, meets the requirements of the Education Act, curriculum, course plan, and subject plan. You are subject-matter knowledgeable, mentor students, plan and lead teaching, assess, and grade knowledge development. As a teacher in vocational subjects at the upper secondary level, you have many contacts with the business community in connection with APL (workplace-based education). You actively participate in the school's development and documentation. You are supervised by the principal at the school.

In your role as a vocational teacher, you work according to the operation's goals and mission to promote learning where the individual is stimulated to acquire knowledge and values. You promote students' all-round personal development into active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals and citizens. You work to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially.

You create and implement scheduled teaching that follows the requirements of the Education Act, curriculum, course plan, and subject plan. You mentor students, plan and lead teaching, assess, and grade knowledge development. You will teach both practically and theoretically. Your duties include documenting according to the school's routines. You are part of a team with teachers, student health services, and school management.

As a teacher at Dackeskolan, you also have business contacts in connection with APL (workplace-based education). You are responsible for securing placements at companies where the student performs part of their education, as well as following up on and assessing the student's knowledge. You actively participate in the school's development and operate within the upper secondary school's area of activity. You participate in the program's development and planning, as well as pedagogical development together with colleagues at the school. You are supervised by the principal at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a basic education in the vocational field, either at the upper secondary or higher education level. We also accept apprenticeship training or other education from the goldsmithing industry.

We would like you to have knowledge in casting, gem setting, remodelling, jewelry design, and repairs in addition to basic goldsmithing skills.

We also consider it an advantage if you have experience with CAD, for example TinkerCAD or another program.

Work-related experience needs to be several years long and broad within the profession.

Teacher certification or an additional qualification in pedagogy (90 credits) is desirable.
