Do you love hanging out with young people, coming up with creative activities, and building a place where it's okay to try new things, make mistakes, and try again? Then you might be our new youth worker at Sandbyhov Youth Centre!

Who are we? At Sandbyhov Youth Centre, young people, their leisure time, and their opportunities for development are at the center. We offer a safe, inclusive, and inspiring meeting place where young people can grow, explore their interests, and build meaningful relationships. Informal and non-formal learning is a natural part of our operations – development happens just as often in the music studio or game room as in a spontaneous conversation on the sofa. Through participation, creativity, and strong relationships, we create an environment where young people feel seen, heard, and significant.

Your responsibilities As a youth worker with us, you are an important part of the young people's daily lives and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring meeting place. You meet young people in both spontaneous conversations and planned activities, working relationally to strengthen participation, influence, and young people's belief in their own abilities. Together with the young people, you plan, implement, and follow up on activities within areas such as culture, creation, movement, games, social activities, and projects that start from their own ideas and interests.

Who are you? You have a post-secondary education of at least two years, preferably as a youth worker or social pedagogue, or another education that we assess as equivalent for the role. You have experience working with children and young people, and you thrive as the adult who can listen, laugh, and set boundaries when needed.
