About the Operations
The Social Services Board is responsible for measures, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act, and are to implement measures regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by putting the individual at the center to meet their needs. The assignment involves a strong customer focus and a spirit of service.
The LSS and Social Psychiatry Provider, with just over 300 permanent employees, is a provider operation directed towards children, young people, and adults. We are governed, among other things, by the LSS Act, the Social Services Act (SoL), and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), and have executive responsibility for measures regulated by these laws. The operations are characterized by putting the individual at the center and collaborating to meet individual needs. The operation has a strong customer focus, a good spirit of service, and provides conditions for cross-boundary work that is both inspiring and conducive to professional development.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a responsible and engaged employee who wants to work on providing individually adapted help to a user in daily life. The position involves being a support in all activities of daily living (ADL) and contributing to a safe, structured, and meaningful everyday life.
Working hours are scheduled for 24-hour shifts, which means you work continuous shifts with on-call/rest time according to the current schedule.
The role involves providing a user with a complete support need, as the user needs help with everything in their daily life:
- Provide support with personal care and hygiene.
- Help with cooking, shopping, laundry, cleaning, and other household chores.
- Motivate and support the user in daily activities and engagement.
- Actively work to create and maintain a clear structure and predictability in daily life.
- Use pedagogical and motivational approaches based on the user's individual needs.
- Collaborate with other people surrounding the user to ensure safe and quality support.
We are looking for you who
- Are self-reliant, proactive, and responsible.
- Have good cooperation skills and can also work independently.
- Are flexible and can adapt your working methods based on the user's daily condition and needs.
- Have work and life experience and a calm, secure, and respectful approach.
- Have very good knowledge of autism and an understanding of how the diagnosis can affect daily life.
- Have experience of or knowledge about pedagogical and motivational working methods, such as low-affective approach, clear pedagogy, or other individualized methods.
- Understand the importance of structure, predictability, and continuity to create security and participation.

Qualifications
Formal Competencies:
- Requirement: Upper secondary education.
- Meritorious: Education as an assistant nurse or childminder.
