We are now looking for a personal assistant for a position of approximately 80%, with a start date in August.

About me:

I am a happy and active 12-year-old boy living with my mom, dad, and two younger brothers in Linköping. During the day, I go to school, but after school, in the evenings, and on weekends, I need support from my assistants.

Life with me is usually full of energy. I love being outdoors, coming up with fun things to do, and staying active. Some of my favorite activities include jumping on a trampoline, swimming, listening to music, swinging, playing with my younger brothers, taking short walks in the woods and the local area, and riding a cargo bike when the weather permits. I also really enjoy going to the indoor swimming pool.

I also participate in activities such as music therapy and "Händelseriket" (The Event World). As my assistant, you will join me on these activities and be an important part of my daily life.

Who are you?

I am looking for you who still has a childlike spirit and enjoys playing, being silly, and coming up with activities. You are positive, engaged, and thrive on being active. At the same time, you are reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.

Since I do not communicate with spoken words, you need to be perceptive, attentive, and have the patience to wait for me. I express myself through body language and sounds, and it is important that you can read my signals and pay attention to how I am feeling. I understand spoken language in simple commands and phrases. However, I am often clear about what I want.

I also want you to be positive and able to help me learn new things.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability, chemistry, and teamwork skills.

About the role:

Your workplace is where I am, based from my home in Linköping. You will help me in all situations of daily life and accompany me to leisure activities, outings, and other adventures.

I have a cognitive disability and need help performing all activities of daily living, as well as support in interaction and communication. I need active assistance with eating, using the toilet, dressing, and playing.

I can walk on my own but sometimes need support to get around. For longer distances, I use a wheelchair or an all-terrain wagon. Sometimes I get extra silly and active, and then I run, so you need to be in good physical shape, able to keep up, and help me avoid situations that could involve risks.

Requirements:

• Good physical fitness
• Non-smoker
• Swimming ability
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language

Merits:

• Experience working in healthcare and social care
• Experience working with children

Working hours and employment percentage:

The position covers approximately 80%.

The working hours vary but are typically:

• Weekdays 14:00–19:30
• Weekends 10:00–18:00

Start date:

Start date is in mid-to-late August, by agreement.

Salary:

Fixed hourly wage by agreement. Other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
