LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) is one of the department's five business areas, with the purpose of enabling an independent, active, and secure life for people with disabilities. LSS Housing Support is a service where, on behalf of the authorities, we provide support to approximately 70 people in ordinary housing. Currently, LSS Housing Support is in an exciting phase of development focusing on quality improvement and evidence-based approaches for those we meet. With the individual at the center, we work to make a real difference for people receiving housing support, through commitment and responsibility that strengthen participation and quality of life.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Support Pedagogue within LSS Housing Support, you have special responsibility for pedagogical development. This is achieved through environmental scanning and by identifying areas for development within your own operations. You work on behalf of the unit manager to ensure the unit's quality work by supporting and guiding your colleagues in their daily work. In this role, you are to be a role model, implement methods, working practices, and routines, and ensure that the support is provided in a satisfactory manner in accordance with established goals, methods, quality requirements, values, and other guidelines. You place the individual's needs, abilities, and interests at the center. You work norm-creative and innovative, motivated to promote the development of the user's own resources. Furthermore, you work with documentation and follow-up according to current guidelines.

As a Support Pedagogue, you will be part of a team together with other Support Pedagogues working within LSS operations in Mjölby Municipality. The position is primarily daytime, but weekend work may occur depending on operational needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A completed Support Pedagogue education from a University College.
  • Documented experience working as a Support Pedagogue for at least 1 year.
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Valid B-driver's license.

The following are meritorious:

  • Experience working with low-affective handling, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative communication methods (AKK).
  • Experience working according to IBIC as a working method.
  • Experience working with people who have co-morbidity and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities.
