We are looking for a personal assistant for our client in Gällstad

We prefer starting with hourly work, with the possibility of a permanent schedule of 50–75% for the right candidate

Casper is a 20-year-old young man with several diagnoses. He communicates using single words, picture support, and TAKK signs. We are looking for you who want to strengthen the support team around him. Casper is a happy, curious, and social young man who loves ball sports, music, and his iPad. He needs assistance during all his waking hours as he needs support with most things, although he can manage some tasks independently.

Your daily work involves helping him with what he cannot do himself. You will primarily work in his home, which requires you to be humble and sensitive towards him and his family. A large part of the job is simply being present for the client. You must be able to adapt to the different environments he is in. We are looking for a flexible and creative person who can motivate Casper to engage in suitable activities based on his daily condition. Since he communicates through sign language (TAKK) and picture support, knowledge in this area is a strong preference. The work also includes practical help with certain intimate care tasks.

Despite his generally positive attitude, you as an assistant need to have a calm and secure personality. Experience with low-affective handling is a plus.

The role and experience of the assistant

As an assistant, you are expected to work independently, be secure, responsible, positive, empathetic, and proactive. You should see opportunities and be able to guide and motivate the client, but also understand when it is appropriate to step back. We work with a low-affective approach, which means you need to be calm and empathetic in your interactions.

We would like you to have relevant experience or education, but most importantly, we are looking for the right person for Casper and his family. You will receive a thorough introduction on site, and we encourage our assistants to take our own training courses. Meritorious experience

• Experience in similar work.
• Knowledge of TAKK and picture support.
• Fluent Swedish.
• Experience with low-affective handling.
• Experience with epilepsy.

Working hours and degree of employment

• Employment on hours, with the possibility of a permanent schedule of 50–75%.
• Weekdays: Split shifts, morning and afternoon.
• Start: August 3rd.

Salary and conditions

• Salary according to the Fremia collective agreement.
• Wellness allowance is offered.
