About the role

As a Customer Advisor at Fonus, you are responsible for the entire funeral process – from the first meeting with the bereaved family to the execution of the ceremony.

The role combines warm customer interaction with structure and administration. You need to enjoy guiding people through difficult situations while keeping a close eye on the details.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Meeting and guiding relatives through the funeral process
• Planning and conducting funerals and ceremonies
• Guiding customers in choices regarding ceremonies, coffins, urns, and headstones
• Handling administration, bookings, and invoicing
• Coordinating contact with churches, florists, and authorities
• Picking up the deceased in private homes and residential facilities
• Handling the deceased during processes such as preparation for viewing and cremation

You will be based at the office in Borås, but you are part of a team where we help each other as needed across our other offices in the customer area. This means you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues at the offices in Gothenburg, Alingsås, and Herrljunga.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is secure, considerate, and structured – someone who creates calm and trust even in the most sensitive situations. You handle deep conversations with a grieving family just as well as managing administration, IT support systems, and planning the entire assignment.

We believe you have:

• Experience in service and advisory work, preferably with sales elements
• Strong administrative skills and experience working in digital systems (business systems, Microsoft 365, etc.)
• An interest in digital working methods and openness to using AI as support in daily life
• A valid driver's license (Category B), good driving skills, and access to your own car
• Good physical fitness, as some heavy tasks are involved

It is an advantage if you have experience from the funeral industry or similar operations, or if you have previously encountered people in grief and crisis – regardless of cultural background.

How to apply

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon. We apply a 6-month probation period.

The application deadline is 2026-08-17. Due to summer and holiday periods, the selection process will begin in week 34. As part of our selection process, we use work psychological tests.
