About Unika in Trollhättan

Would you like the opportunity to help develop a business from the ground up?

Unika LSS has been given the opportunity to run two newly built facilities in Trollhättan, starting this autumn. The facilities consist of a group home and a service apartment. We are therefore looking for support assistants for both facilities. The facilities are located on Spetsgatan and Granbarrsvägen.

About the Role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to people with disabilities, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, basing our work on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to lead a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective interaction to create security and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we focus strongly on working professionally and efficiently within the facility's resources and budget.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills, relate to others in a listening manner, and enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can identify the individual's needs.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
  • Experience working in healthcare and social care.
  • Upper secondary education such as Child and Youth Programme, Care and Nursing Programme, or post-secondary education such as Support Pedagogue, Social Pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.
Meritorious if you additionally have:
  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective interaction.
  • Experience working with complex support needs.
Employment Terms

Employment Type: Permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period.

Working Hours: Varying.

Shifts: Day, evening, and weekend, or awake night only at the group home. Day, evening, sleeping on-call, and weekend at the service apartment.

Start Date: By agreement, planned start is 2026-10-01.

Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement of Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
