The Health and Social Care Administration currently consists of approximately 1,400 employees who, with our combined knowledge and professional experience, provide care and healthcare to the residents of Alingsås in their homes or in our residential facilities. We are now looking for three temporary staff members who wish to work in personal assistance. This primarily covers the remainder of the summer, but there may also be opportunities for continued work during the autumn. In the role of a personal assistant, you will have the opportunity to build relationships, deeply understand the individual's needs, and focus on quality. This role suits you if you are curious about human behavior and have an interest in fields such as behavioral science, psychology, or social work.

Job Description

As a temporary staff member in personal assistance, you will work with providing care and support in various life situations, both at home and during activities outside the home. The work is varied, and tasks may include pedagogical support in daily life, personal care, and help with household chores such as laundry and cooking. The individuals we support have varying disabilities, meaning their need for support varies. As an assistant, you play a major role in creating a meaningful daily life and contribute to well-being and independence.

Examples of duties include:

• Helping the user with daily routines
• Supporting communication and social situations
• Creating security and clear structure in the day
• Light household chores (e.g., cleaning, laundry, simple cooking)
• Accompanying on activities, walks, or excursions
• Motivating and supporting training, hobbies, or sensory-stimulating activities
• Personal care (varies based on the user's needs)
• Being a calm, secure, and attentive support
• Keeping simple, clear documentation according to routines
• Collaborating with colleagues, relatives, or the team as needed

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in care work
• Has a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

A B-class driver's license is required for one of the positions.

We believe you are a person who creates security through professional and respectful treatment. You have an easy time building good contact with people and meet each individual with attentiveness and understanding of their situation and needs.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment Terms

Type of Employment: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days – 3 months.
Start Date: As soon as possible, subject to agreement.
