The Procurement Centre for Östra Göinge, Osby, Hörby, Höör, and Bromölla is now looking for an engaged Sustainability Specialist who wants to help create the conditions for long-term sustainable societal development.

The team currently consists of eleven employees and is organizationally placed in Östra Göinge Municipality. Since we work for several municipalities and thirteen municipal companies, our daily routine is mobile. Colleagues may be located in different places on the same day, which provides variation and breadth in the work.

Job Description
The Procurement Centre's task is to translate political decisions and operational goals into concrete results through business-like procurement and tendering. We lead and develop the procurement process, ensure that the needs of operations are met, and support daily procurement work in municipalities and companies.
As a Sustainability Specialist, you play a key role in this work. Through the procurement process, you create value for employees in their daily lives and for citizens, both today and in the future.
Your Role
Your main focus is to develop how procurement can contribute to increased environmental and social sustainability. You work both strategically and operationally, close to tendering managers and other functions within the municipal group.
You are responsible for identifying, planning, and prioritizing procurement categories where sustainability efforts make the biggest difference and contribute to achieving the municipalities' and companies' goals.
Your duties include, among other things:
- Conducting risk and needs analyses to identify prioritized tenders from a sustainability perspective.
- Formulating relevant environmental and social requirements as well as contract terms in tenders.
- Monitoring requirements, suppliers, and contracts related to sustainability.
- Supporting and guiding buyers in procurement and contract issues, including training initiatives.
- Driving and participating in development and improvement work that strengthens the sustainability perspective in the procurement process.
- Collaborating with colleagues and other functions within the organization to achieve common goals.
- Contributing to increased dialogue with the market and business life, both before and during tenders.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a strong commitment and who, through collaboration and good strategic ability, want to contribute to the sustainable procurement of the municipal group.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- At least three years of academic education in sustainability, environment, social sciences, or similar relevant area. Experience with public procurement is considered an advantage.
- Good ability to build trusting relationships and delve into complex issues.
- Good ability to communicate, simplify, and adapt complex information to different target groups.
- Experience from working in or collaborating with larger organizations, preferably within the public sector with close collaboration with politics and implementation, which we see as an advantage.
- A genuine interest in sustainability issues.
An extract from the criminal record register must be presented before employment can take place.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, Start date: Start date is agreed upon.
