We are now looking for a strategic and creative Marketing Communications Specialist/Copywriter for a fixed-term contract until the end of June 2027, who wants to make a real difference for residents, visitors, businesses, and future citizens of Helsingborg.

About the workplace

Helsingborg Municipality as an employer has approximately 10,000 employees and 470 managers. The City Management Administration is one of nine departments and is led by our Deputy City Manager. To carry out our mission, we are organized into seven different divisions. Our department has an important and exciting assignment where we exist for others - for colleagues, other departments, the citizen of Helsingborg, and businesses, to name a few. The City Management Administration is to - lead, develop, and coordinate the municipality's operations in overarching and common areas, - offer services and products demanded by the municipal executive board, departments, and companies, including common functions that target citizens directly, - in collaboration with external partners, create conditions for a positive development of Helsingborg.

Job Description

As a Marketing Communications Specialist/Copywriter with us, you work on developing ideas, concepts, and texts that hold the big picture together. You ensure that communication not only works in individual initiatives but builds a clear direction over time.

You are involved from the first thought to final delivery and contribute both strategically and creatively to our projects. You set the tone, shape stories, and ensure that what we say actually lands with the right people.

You are equally confident in developing major supporting concepts as you are in fine-tuning a social media post or a PowerPoint presentation five minutes before delivery. You understand that both parts are equally important for the whole, and you thrive in the switch between them.

You will work closely with strategists, creatives, and producers in a team with high ambition and great engagement. Together we create communication that not only reaches out but that people actually want to engage with.

Your tasks may include among other things:

• Develop concepts and ideas for campaigns and communication initiatives
• Write texts for different target groups and contexts
• Ensure a clear tone and a common thread in all communication
• Contribute to strategic discussions regarding brand, target group, and message
• Collaborate with designers, producers, and other competencies in the team
• Work hands-on with presentations, social media posts, and other ongoing content

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Have an academic degree in communication or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Have at least five years of experience working as a copywriter or marketing communications specialist in an agency environment or in-house
• Have a strong sense of tone, target group, and context
• See the big picture and can create a clear common thread throughout the communication
• Are confident in both developing large concepts and delivering sharp texts at the last minute
• Are unpretentious and confident in letting the best idea win regardless of where it comes from
• Have experience working conceptually and developing ideas from insight to finished solution
• Are curious and thrive in creative collaboration
• Have the ability to switch between strategic thinking and operational work
