We are now looking for a Customer Accountant for the Audit Group in Malmö, part of Klara Consulting. Here you will become part of an office with approximately 20 colleagues within accounting, payroll, and auditing. On the accounting side, we are a smaller team that works closely with our customers, often owner-led companies where the relationship and personal advice are central.
In this role, you will become an important part of our accounting team in Malmö. You will work independently with qualified accounting assignments, take responsibility for customer relationships, and contribute to developing both working methods and the customer experience. Responsibilities
In the role of Customer Accountant, you are responsible for qualified accounting assignments and have close dialogue with your customers. The focus is primarily on year-end accounts, tax returns, annual reports, advisory services, and customer responsibility, rather than primarily routine bookkeeping.
You work with a mixed customer portfolio, where many customers are small and medium-sized owner-led companies. Our customers are found in several different industries, including construction, real estate, and other service and owner-led businesses.
For example, you will:
- Independently manage customer assignments and drive the work forward
- Prepare year-end accounts, annual reports, and tax returns
- Handle VAT, tax, and other accounting-related issues
- Maintain ongoing customer dialogue and be a reliable sounding board for financial matters
- Ensure quality, structure, and progress in your assignments
- Contribute to good customer relations through clear communication and high service
- Support more junior colleagues with your experience and competence when needed
- Help develop working methods, routines, and the customer experience
Who are you?

You are a person who takes charge, follows up, and ensures that the customer gets the help they need. You are good at building trust, are communicative in your customer dialogue, and understand the importance of giving clear and timely feedback.
We also believe that you are unpretentious and contribute to the team by sharing knowledge, answering questions, and helping colleagues when needed. You thrive in a role where you get to work independently, but at the same time be part of a team that wants to develop together.
We are looking for someone who has
- Post-secondary education in economics, accounting, or equivalent experience
- At least 3–5 years of experience in qualified accounting work
- Good knowledge of year-end accounts, annual reports, and tax returns
- Experience with VAT, tax, and employer declarations
- Knowledge of K2 and K3 (Swedish accounting standards)
- Experience in independently managing customer assignments
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is the language we communicate in internally and externally
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, as we have many international customers
- Good knowledge of Excel
It is an extra advantage if you:
- Are an authorized accounting consultant via Srf Konsulterna or FAR
- Have experience with group accounting
- Have experience advising owner-led companies
- Have worked with digitalization and efficiency improvements within accounting
- Have experience with Fortnox and/or Hogia
