We are now looking for two new colleagues to join our team: one permanent position and one temporary position of approximately 1 year.

About the Workplace

In the city, the Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.

At the Social Services Department in Helsingborg, we work based on the "Signs of Safety" approach. All social secretaries, therapists, administrative staff, HR, finance, and political leadership are trained in this approach. This means you will become part of an organization where networking, participation, and a clear focus on the people we meet permeate all change work with families.

We work together with the individual's own resources and networks to create sustainable and long-term changes.

Job Responsibilities

As a family therapist, you work with the entire family and the family's network. The work aims to strengthen the family's own resources and find solutions that enable them to manage without support from social services in the long run. You meet the families in their daily lives and in their own environments, where the change work has the greatest effect.

The work is currently carried out on behalf of the authority, while we are in a development phase where we are broadening our interventions and working to make support more accessible without needs assessment.

As a family therapist, you will become part of Family Support, Intervention, and Service, where the operations are divided into a children's team, a youth team, an adult team, family centers, support groups for children and relatives, and parenting courses.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent
• Several years of experience in change work within social services, focusing on young people and their families
• Good documentation habits
• Category B driver's license and experience driving

Merits:

• Experience in therapeutic work in outpatient care
• Experience of collaboration with other actors such as schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), or similar
• Training in or experience with evidence-based methods such as FFT, KIBB, MI, or CBT
• Experience in networking work
• Experience working with school absenteeism
