Job Description

We are currently looking for a Treatment Assistant for our supported housing section within the IFO Intervention department. The service is aimed at children and young people aged 15–21 who need support and training in independence in their own apartments.

As a Treatment Assistant, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for supervision and support in the daily lives of the placed children and young people. The work involves offering motivating and supportive interventions with a focus on strengthening the young person's independence and ability to manage their own housing.

You are involved in all aspects concerning the young person and work closely with various professionals around the young person, as well as the young person's family, relatives, and other important contacts. The assignment is characterized by a holistic perspective and requires close collaboration with social services, guardians, schools, healthcare, and other relevant actors. The role also includes drawing up and following up implementation plans, keeping journal notes, and holding support conversations with the young person and their network.

You contribute to ensuring that children and young people receive a safe, respectful, and professional approach. We see you as engaged, proactive, and active in quality development and operational development, with the goal of motivating and strengthening the young person to develop their resources and abilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another university or college degree of at least 180 credits within social work, social pedagogy, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. For hourly employment, it is required that you have completed at least four terms of relevant education.

Since the work places high demands on communication, documentation, and conversational skills, you need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A Category B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

Meritorious is if you have:

  • education in BBIC, MI, Repulse, HAP, or other methods for working with children and young people, for example, low-affective approach
  • experience of work within individual and family care and its different target groups
  • experience of social work towards the target group of children and young people

As a person, you are sensitive, cooperative, and relationship-building. You meet others with interest and respect and actively contribute to an open and positive work climate. You have a good ability for self-reflection and can give and receive feedback in a constructive way.

You work in a structured and independent manner, have the ability to plan and organize your work, and are flexible and adaptable in changing situations. The position requires that you are secure and stable in yourself, can handle emotionally demanding situations, and maintain calm even under pressure.

You have good self-insight, dare to make your own decisions within the framework of the assignment, and can clearly distinguish between the personal and the professional in your work.

About the Workplace

We are Supported Housing 1 within the Integration and Housing unit. The operation consists of 83 apartments spread across Malmö, from Limhamn to Rosengård.

We are a cheerful team of 19 colleagues and are now looking for a new employee who wants to continue the good work with our young residents of Malmö.

Information about the position

Employment type: Fixed-term contract for 1 year with a chance of extension

Scope: Full-time

Number of positions: 1

Start date: As soon as possible according to agreement

Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, 08:00–17:00 and 11:00–20:30 respectively, with weekend duty every fourth week.
