I am a working woman looking for a driven female assistant to support me with practical tasks in everyday life.

I am currently recruiting at least one assistant, either part-time or full-time. Perhaps you are the person I am looking for? You do not need previous experience in the role – the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and that our chemistry matches.

Who is the person you need to have chemistry with?

I have a physical disability and need help with practical daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, household chores, and fine motor tasks. You will be working with me, a soon-to-be 30-year-old woman who, despite my disability, lives a fairly normal life with a job, friends, and family – albeit with a bit darker humor than average.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, but also relaxing, exercising, reading, and watching TV. As an assistant, it may become relevant to accompany me on trips, both for work and privately. The pace of work varies according to my need for help, my energy levels, and my daily routine. Therefore, it is important that you are attuned to my needs but also comfortable taking a more waiting role. Once you get the hang of it, you will see what needs to be done without me having to say anything. I live in a changing world, so it is important that you can adapt and step up with short notice.

I live in Lund but work in Malmö, which means your workday can start in one city and end in the other depending on your schedule.

A bit about you

To "fit in," you are a woman of approximately the same age as me. You have a great sense of humor, are thick-skinned, and take initiative. There is no requirement for you to have worked as a personal assistant before. The most important thing is that our chemistry matches; the rest you will learn if you have the interest.

Absolute requirements:

• You write and speak Swedish fluently.
• You are comfortable around cats.
• You are a non-smoker.
• You should live within a reasonable commuting distance to Lund/Malmö.
• You are a Swedish citizen (due to the nature of the work).

Cooking and household management are part of the job. You do not need to be a Masterchef, but you should have basic knowledge of cooking and housekeeping and know, for example, not to put curry in tacos or run frying pans in the dishwasher. I am ambulatory but use an electric wheelchair to get from A to B, so you need to be able to cycle at about 15 km/h on flat ground – both for long and short distances – to keep up. It is a strong preference that you have a B-driver's license and can drive an automatic car.

I am open to dialogue regarding the extent of the position. The role includes some weekend shifts per month and is primarily a temporary position (vicar) as one of my assistants is on study leave. It is likely that the position will eventually become a permanent role. The start date is in mid-August.

Recruiting is a tiring process for me, so I am looking for someone who intends to stay for a longer period – at least one year, preferably longer.

My assistants are employed by "Assistans i Balans". This means close communication with a Personal Coordinator, a thorough and clear introduction, personal guidance, as well as training and further education. You will receive the support you need to be secure and professional in your role as my personal assistant.
