Job Description

We are now looking for new employees for the Functional Support Department for LSS Housing! We are looking for you who want to work with the whole person and contribute to a functioning everyday life through a supportive and motivating approach.

As a support assistant, you provide support and service to people with disabilities in all parts of life. This may involve planning the week, managing the household, and accompanying them on leisure activities such as going swimming or shopping in town. Your work may also involve more practical support such as personal care, medication, mobility, and exercise. Some health and medical care tasks require delegation from a nurse, and you will receive the necessary training during your introduction with us. Many of those living with us also need support in creating and maintaining relationships, as well as managing their emotions and behaviors.

To thrive in this role, you need an interest in working pedagogically and the ability to see even the small steps forward in everyday life. You need to be secure in yourself and have the ability to meet people where they are. It is an advantage if you also have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and/or mental health issues.

You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions, both independently and together with others. You also have good initiative.

You have the ability to handle complex situations. You remain optimistic in the face of challenges and have the ability to accept and learn from criticism.

You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward the contributions of others.

Employment Information

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, ending: 2026-08-16.

The positions will be filled provided they do not need to be taken by already employed personnel within the municipality.
