Description of duties

We are looking for an engaged youth club leader who wants to help develop our youth club and youth center, as well as create an attractive meeting place for our young people. The position involves working in the open youth club and youth center every afternoon, as well as evening activities two and sometimes three evenings a week. Outreach activities are included as we sometimes need to move our operations to where the young people are. The role also includes teaching certain lessons at the school. In addition to the permanent position, we have an 80% temporary position to fill.

This is a position for you who appreciate variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to contribute new ideas and working methods yourself. Here, you get to help shape the operations based on the needs and interests of the young people. We collaborate closely with Kvidinge School (Grades F-6) and youth departments, as well as other youth centers in the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are trained as a youth club leader or have other relevant education and experience
• have a strong interest in the development of children and young people
• are creative, proactive, and curious about new working methods
• have the ability to build relationships and create engagement
• can work both independently and in a team
• see movement, activity, and community as important parts of children's and young people's learning and well-being

As a youth club leader, you provide a safe and inspiring leisure time for children and young people, primarily in Kvidinge and other parts of Åstorp, by planning, leading, and developing activities in the afternoons and evenings.

Working hours: Daytime. The youth club leader works partly at the school and primarily at the youth center. Therefore, working hours are some mornings, primarily afternoons, and some evenings a week.
