Treatment Specialist for Support and Treatment Unit – Adult Treatment

About the Role
We are looking for a treatment specialist for the Support and Treatment Unit who can work with adults primarily affected by domestic violence, as well as harmful substance use and addiction.

Responsibilities
As a treatment specialist, you work on behalf of the authority according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and/or the Law on Care of Abusers of Intoxicating Liquors, etc. (LVM). Under the new Social Services Act, this also includes interventions without a needs assessment. Depending on the assignment, this includes targeted treatment interventions as well as support conversations with individuals, groups, and networks. You work individually with adults who are victims of violence, perpetrators of violence, relatives needing support, and those dealing with harmful substance use and addiction.
The role also includes practical tasks performed together with the individual. Adult treatment specialists work proactively when needed or when such assignments are established. As a service provider, you are expected to document performed interventions according to current legislation.
We have implemented the "Signs of Safety" approach throughout our entire operational area to create a shared perspective and common attitude towards those we serve. Therefore, you are expected to work using this approach together with clients and colleagues.
Working hours are scheduled during the day but may include weekends and evenings.
You will receive external case supervision.
Qualifications
You who apply have a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have current experience in adult treatment related primarily to domestic violence, but also experience working with harmful substance use and addiction.
Additional education such as "Talks and Freedom" and "Talks on Violence", MI (Motivational Interviewing), and CRA (Community Reinforcement Approach) is meritorious. We use the documentation system Journal Digital, and experience with it is also considered meritorious.
We see that you have a non-hierarchical approach towards clients and colleagues, making you perceived as humble with an open mind. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, stress tolerance, and can handle complex situations, contributing to a good work environment. Since we are a small municipality, flexibility is significant. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A valid Class B driver's license is required as you will be driving in the role.
