Job Responsibilities
The Centre for Crime Victims and Mediation offers support, crisis management, and processing assistance to crime victims, their relatives, and witnesses. Conversations are conducted using a solution-focused approach. You will hold conversations with individuals and, at times, together with their relatives. The Centre for Crime Victims and Mediation is part of Malmö City's crisis organization. The role involves extensive collaboration, both internally and externally. Operational development is a natural part of the work.
Approximately one day every other week, you will work as a crisis supporter during daytime hours. During these times, you are part of Malmö City's crisis support organization and may be activated during major events affecting the public. On these days, you are required to work at the office between 08:00 and 16:30. On other days, you work with the possibility of flexibility and remote work, if the job permits.
The Centre for Crime Victims and Mediation also conducts mediation between perpetrators and victims, but this task is not included in this position.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Worker/Socionom) and several years of experience in counseling and therapy. You must have good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish.
The following qualifications are considered advantageous:
- Experience and knowledge of crisis and trauma in supportive conversations.
- Education and experience in working with domestic violence.
- Education/knowledge of solution-focused counseling methods.
- Experience and knowledge regarding crime victimization among children, youth, and adults.
- Experience and knowledge of risk and protective factors.
- Experience and knowledge of the judicial system.
- Experience in handling major crises involving many people.
As a person, we see that you are secure, stable, and possess good self-awareness. You feel confident leading conversations with both young people and adults and have a natural ability to collaborate both internally and externally. The role involves significant teamwork, which places high demands on your collaborative skills.
In your work, you will meet people with different experiences and backgrounds. Therefore, it is important that you are empathetic and able to listen to the person you meet to establish good contact.
It is also important that you are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances. The work requires the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain a realistic perspective even at a high pace.
In this recruitment, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
