Job Description
In the role of Employment Consultant, you will work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues to strengthen, guide, and match individuals to employment or education. Your work will involve close collaboration with colleagues within the unit, other units within the administration, and various external actors such as authorities and employers.
We are looking for a colleague who combines good administrative structure with a secure and empathetic skill in building trust. The role requires determination and a good understanding of the missions and regulations of various actors. You must have the ability to motivate individuals who are far from the labor market, which is a prerequisite for succeeding and thriving in the role of Employment Consultant.
Qualifications and Merits
Requirements:
- Relevant academic degree (e.g., social worker, behavioral scientist, or equivalent as assessed by us).
- Experience working with target groups far from the labor market (e.g., foreign-born, individuals with health issues).
- Good knowledge of the labor market and the measures offered by the Swedish Public Employment Service.
- Strong administrative skills and experience with ongoing documentation in operational systems.
Merits:
- Experience from public authority work.
- Experience with the LifeCare system.
- Education and experience in MI (Motivational Interviewing), BIP, and/or Supported Employment.
Great importance is placed on personal qualities and experience with labor market issues. Since a large and important part of the work involves meetings and conversations with people, we assume that you are confident in yourself, meet people with engagement and curiosity, and have the ability to interact with people based on their conditions.
You have a flexible work style with the habit of switching focus quickly if required. You are creative and solution-focused. Our mission is based on collaboration, so we assume that you enjoy building good relationships.
The work also includes continuous documentation, which means that attention to detail and structure are important.
What We Offer
- Salary: Monthly salary.
- Employment type: Permanent position.
- Duration: 11 days - 3 months, start date: 2026-10-01.
- Working hours: Daytime.
The workplace offers, among other things, a wellness allowance (2000 SEK/year), holiday pay exchange, an active staff association, flexitime, and the possibility of remote work when the assignment allows.
We also actively work to create health-promoting workplaces with a good working environment and apply smoke-free working hours.
We annually assign our staff for civil defense duties (krigsplacering).
