The Forensic Psychiatry area of operations is in a dynamic phase of development with changes in both legislation and care content, with an increased focus on outpatient care and expanded collaboration with the region's municipalities and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The area is part of Psychiatry Skåne and consists of forensic psychiatric units in Malmö, Kristianstad, Helsingborg, and Hässleholm.

Forensic psychiatry cares for a particularly vulnerable group of patients, often consisting of society's most disabled and resource-poor individuals. The highly specialized care is based on the patients' complex psychiatric problems, which include serious mental illness, often in combination with substance abuse, social isolation and exclusion, as well as somatic ill health. The goal of forensic psychiatric care is to habilitate/rehabilitate these individuals to a drug-free daily life in society, with increased psychosocial functioning and a reduced risk of reoffending.

In inpatient care, there are two teams consisting of senior consultants, resident doctors, occupational therapists, psychologists, social secretaries, and medical secretaries. On each ward, there is a care staff with nurses and care assistants who serve as a resource for the team regarding the daily care of the patients. It is the treatment team that, together with the care staff, is responsible for the patients throughout their entire inpatient stay.

The work as a social secretary includes psychosocial treatment and investigation work, as well as practical curative interventions. The work is always based on a holistic perspective with the patient in focus. You work with both individual contacts and the patient's private and professional network. In addition, you conduct risk assessments of patients together with your team. As a social secretary, you also have a role as a child ombudsman by paying attention to and supporting the children in the patient's immediate vicinity.

Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a fully trained social worker, and we would prefer that you are a licensed healthcare social secretary. If you belong to a licensed profession, knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. For non-licensed professions, good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required. You should have previous work experience as a social secretary with experience in authority practice. It is also desirable that you have experience working with mental illness, substance abuse, and crime.

As a person, you are flexible, proactive, and creative. Since you work both individually and in a team, you must have good cooperation skills, but also the ability to work independently. We want you to contribute to good cooperation through strong engagement, good communication, a positive attitude, and by sharing your knowledge. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
