Our operations are growing, and we are now looking for a Support Assistant who wants to make a difference for our children and young people within the LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) in Lomma Municipality!

About the Activity: Skolskeppet (The School Ship)

At our short-term care activity, called Skolskeppet, children and young people come to us for short-term supervision and stays. The activity currently consists of a dedicated team of support assistants and a coordinating support pedagogue, with a strong focus on the users and a lot of job satisfaction!

The goal of the activity is to provide children and young people with a meaningful leisure time, an opportunity for a change of environment/recreation/respite, and the chance to meet other children and young people. It is important that we can offer the children and young people a creative, safe, and inviting environment that they want to visit, whether after school, in the evenings, on weekends, or during holidays.

Responsibilities

You work pedagogically and creatively based on established methods to tailor support to the individual user. You work to promote increased safety, independence, integrity, and participation/decision-making. Together, we place the individual's needs at the center. The work includes social documentation and collaboration with both internal and external parties.

Care duties are included in the responsibilities.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends.

Who You Are

You have a genuine interest and commitment to working with children and young people within the disability support sector. You are confident and responsible in your professional role, providing the children/young people with a safe and predictable environment. You work actively and independently within the framework of your assignment and with a clear individual focus. You have good collaboration skills and are attentive in meetings with everyone you encounter in your role. For you, change is something enjoyable and challenging, and you always see solutions to challenges.

Qualifications

• You have an appropriate upper secondary education for the work, or alternatively vocational training (KY/YH) within LSS/care activities.
• You have documented experience working with people in the target group.
• We work with people who need an individually designed environment. Therefore, it is of great importance that you have experience with low-affective handling and clarifying pedagogy.
• It is meritorious if you have previously worked with children and young people.
• A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

Employment Terms

Employment type: Permanent position.

Salary: We disclose salary for the 10th and 90th percentiles: 30,000–34,000 SEK/month. The salary range is stated in accordance with current regulations on salary transparency.
