Support Assistant – Daily Activities LSS, Åstorp Municipality

Åstorp Municipality is seeking an experienced and competent Support Assistant for daily activities under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). This position places high and clear demands on education, experience, and methodological competence.

About the Position

You will work with adults with disabilities, with a focus on autism spectrum disorders. The role requires a structured, pedagogical, and consistent approach, where the individual's needs, participation, and development are at the center.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have the following education and experience:

• Nursing and Care Program (Vård- och omsorgsprogrammet)
• Child and Youth Program (Barn- och fritidsprogrammet) with a focus on social/pedagogical work
• Documented experience working within LSS
• Several years of experience in daily activities for people with disabilities

Requirements – Advanced Competence

You must have well-established and practically applied competence in the following areas:

• Autism Spectrum Disorders – Good and in-depth understanding of the disability and its consequences in everyday life
• Low-affective approach – Works consistently and methodically in challenging situations
• AKK (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) – Uses and adapts communicative aids in daily work
• TEACCH/Structured Teaching – Works structurally with visual aids, schedules, and adapted environments

Other Requirements

• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Experience with social documentation according to LSS
• Good digital competence

Responsibilities

• Provide individually adapted support based on implementation plans
• Plan and conduct structured activities
• Work with structured teaching and visual aids
• Ensure communication and participation through AKK
• Apply a low-affective approach in all situations
• Document and follow up on interventions according to current guidelines
• Collaborate with colleagues and other professions
