Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a social pedagogue who, in close collaboration with colleagues, will work with students with neuropsychiatric functional variations. We are seeking you who want to contribute to developing the pedagogical work for all our students. You will work in a team where you will work together with students in a special education group or provide special support to students who can participate in regular class settings. After school hours, you will work with the students at the leisure center, where they are offered a meaningful leisure time/LSS (Social Services Act support). You will work closely with the school's EHT (Special Educational Needs) team and receive support in various situations regarding creating an accessible learning environment for all students, enabling them to develop as much as possible.

Qualifications

You have a post-secondary education as a social pedagogue from a folk high school, university college, qualified vocational training, or university. Experience working as a social pedagogue or in a similar role is advantageous. We are looking for you who have experience working closely with children and young people with neuropsychiatric functional variations. Experience working in a school setting is preferred. You have knowledge of the conditions for students in need of special support.

Furthermore, you have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in daily work. You are engaged, flexible, and have excellent teamwork skills, with a solution-focused and inclusive approach. As a person, you are secure and calm in different situations, and you have great patience. You have a low-affective approach to interactions and experience in handling emotional outbursts and aggressive behavior.

You are creative and have the ability to inspire and encourage students to participate, with a strong belief that all students can develop and learn. You are particularly skilled at building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Personal suitability is of great importance.

About the Workplace

Stenkulaskolan is a compulsory school (grades 1-9) with approximately 450 students. Starting the 2025/26 school year, Stenkulaskolan has had the opportunity to start a resource school for students in grades 1-9, where we will actively work to ensure all students are included according to their prerequisites. This means that all staff need to be open to changing their approach and teaching methods to best create an inclusive learning environment characterized by a strong belief that all students want to learn. Stenkulaskolan is also Malmö's alternative for students with hearing impairments; these students are fully included in regular teaching groups. The above conditions enable smaller class sizes/teaching groups at the school to create the right learning environment for each student. We work according to Simon Sinek's The Golden Circle, and the school's 'Why' is: "We Make The World A Better Place". Stenkulaskolan's commitment plan has focused in recent years on Accessible Learning Environment, SKUA (Language and Knowledge-Developing Work Methods), and ICT as an accelerator for pedagogy. The commitments aim to create a sense of belonging for all children by having all employees further develop the skills they need to create an accessible learning environment.
