We are now looking for an engaged personal assistant for a lovely boy who will soon turn 3 years old. We are also looking for temporary substitutes who can step in during illness, VAB (care for sick children), and other absences.

The position involves working according to a rolling four-week schedule with day and evening shifts.

The boy has been diagnosed with 22q11 deletion syndrome, which includes congenital heart defects, a single kidney, as well as breathing and swallowing difficulties. He has a tracheostomy, receives tube feeding via PEG, and is susceptible to infections. To ensure safe and secure care, two assistants always work together around the clock.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are calm, secure, and responsive. You have a genuine interest in working with children and recognize the importance of creating a safe, stimulating, and secure daily life.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Tracheostomy
• Cough assist machine
• Stoma
• PEG and tube feeding
• TAAC (Total Access to Communication)
• Picture support
• Work with children

Do you lack experience in any of the above? No worries! You will receive thorough introduction and training before you start working independently.

Important information

Before a potential interview, we request that you read up on 22q11 deletion syndrome to gain an understanding of the boy's needs.

Since the position involves working with children, a valid extract from the Swedish Crime Register (belastningsregister) is required. We encourage you to order this well in time before an interview.

In this role, you work closely with the family, and it is important that you feel comfortable knowing that the boy's parents are your employers and that they lead and plan the assistance based on his needs.

A valid driver's license and access to your own car are required.
