The Swedish Arts Council is a government agency. We work to distribute grants to arts and culture within literature, music, performing arts, and visual and applied arts, with the goal of ensuring that everyone can access high-quality art and culture. We also work to promote development within the cultural sector. Our grants can be applied for by organizations and groups, regional and municipal organizations, as well as organizations within amateur culture and civil society. We contribute to ensuring that various forms of art and culture reach the entire country and stimulate international cooperation.
The Swedish Arts Council's office, where approximately 100 employees work, is located in the Film House on Gärdet in Stockholm. Our premises are accessible, and we work in an activity-based office with the possibility of working partially remotely. is looking for
Case Officer
to the Unit for Grants to Municipalities and Regions
The Unit is responsible for the agency's work with municipal grants. On the unit, we process and follow up on regional operational and development assignments.
The Unit is also responsible for regional cooperation, which includes the grants within the Cultural Cooperation Model. Within the framework of this work, the Unit represents the state in dialogue with the regions.
We often work in different teams within the unit, focusing on regional issues, culture for children and young people, as well as assignments directed towards the library sector. Currently, we are 11 employees.
We are now looking for a temporary case officer who wants to contribute to creating good conditions for the continued development of the cultural area, in cooperation with regions and municipalities.
Job Description
As a case officer, you will participate in the preparation and follow-up work of regional operational and development grants. In addition, you will participate in the ongoing work with the Cultural Cooperation Model and the follow-up of promotion and development measures linked to the assignment. Other tasks and development assignments may be added.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have
- knowledge of and experience with the Cultural Cooperation Model and the grants that the state distributes within the framework of regional work,
- experience in preparing and presenting different types of decision materials,
- good knowledge of the Office package and experience using various digital tools, and
- good knowledge of Swedish and English.
You have a relevant academic degree or equivalent knowledge that the Swedish Arts Council assesses as relevant for the position.
Merits
It is meritorious if you have
- good knowledge of one or more of the cultural areas of the Cultural Cooperation Model, especially literature, reading promotion, and the library sector,
- experience working with rights perspectives and/or accessibility issues,
- good knowledge of cultural policy and the cultural policy field.

About the Employment
The employment is a temporary position with a start date from September 1st or as agreed. The temporary position lasts until August 30, 2027.
