Your new job

As a sports instructor at Sanda Sports Centre, your primary responsibility is teaching and the tasks associated with the role of a sports instructor within the National Sports Education program – Badminton. In our operations, every student should have the opportunity to be challenged to reach the peak of their potential. Your task is to take responsibility for and have insight into the students' results, which means being attentive, flexible, and responsive to each student's conditions and needs. Your confidence in the students' ability to develop should be high, and you possess the ability to capture and stimulate the students' curiosity, interest, and learning. Welcome to us

Sanda Education Centre in Huskvarna consists of four different school forms; Sandagymnasiet, Sanda Adapted Upper Secondary School, Sanda Adapted Primary School, and Sanda Upper Secondary Sports Programme. At Sanda Education Centre, there are approximately 1,400 students and we have about 200 employees, where our common keywords are Joy, Engagement, Security, Challenge, and Professionalism. Sandagymnasiet is one of the leading sports gymsnasiums in Sweden where we offer our students good conditions to combine studies and sports at all levels.

Sanda Sports Centre is part of Sandagymnasiet where sports education is conducted during school hours as part of the upper secondary education. Of the aforementioned 1,400 students, approx. 550 sports students study one of our three sports education programs; RIG (National Sports Gymnasium), NIU (National Sports Education), and LIU (Local Sports Education). As of today, we have 13 RIG/NIU programs at Sanda Sports Centre. Within the swimming sports, we conduct sports education both within the framework of RIG, NIU, and LIU.

Your competence

We are primarily looking for you who have adequate pedagogical education (Sports coaching, supplementary pedagogical education, KPU) and are qualified to teach the subject of special sports with a focus on NIU Badminton. You have knowledge and experience of the badminton sport but also of physical training; part of the assignment involves training students within the framework of our joint setup "athletics" in the school's teaching premises, Träningsverket. You have also completed "Coach Level 2" with the Swedish Badminton Federation or Badminton Europe or equivalent training. The work should be driven in line with the Swedish Badminton Model and you need to share the Swedish Badminton Federation's value base. Basic IT competence is a requirement. We place great importance on taking responsibility for relevant competence development, active participation in our systematic quality work and collegial learning, as well as the ability to want to grow together with others in the collegium. We are looking for a professional team player who is ready to uphold our keywords.

The position is a permanent part-time employment at 30%.
