Description
As an employee at Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator at your workplace. You are given the opportunity and expected to contribute to the development of the operations through your knowledge and experience. At our workplace, respect for differences and the equal value of all people are fundamental.
Gullvive School is a grades 4–6 school with approximately 360 students. The school is beautifully located just next to the forest, offering many opportunities for both play and learning for all our schoolchildren. The school unit is distributed across several school buildings scattered across the school grounds.
Responsibilities
You are trained as a special needs educator (specialpedagog) with a comprehensive school teacher education as a foundation, and you have good communication skills. You value teamwork and find it easy to collaborate with staff, students, guardians, and actors outside the school. Therefore, you see it as a matter of course that your profession is a team effort. You are engaged and have positive expectations of the students; you challenge and inspire them to reach their full potential. Furthermore, you are structured and accustomed to driving various tasks and processes. At the same time, you are solution-focused and can maintain your calm in stressful situations. You can also think creatively to develop the school's results. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You will be an important part of our student health team, which consists of a special needs educator, two special education teachers, a school counselor, a school nurse, and school management. We also have access to a school psychologist and school doctor in our team at regular intervals throughout the year. The school management consists of a principal and assistant principals. You will be responsible for documentation, pedagogical investigations, action plans, direct work with students, as well as external contacts. Supervision of colleagues and regular meetings with work teams will also be part of your duties.
Qualifications
You are trained as a special needs educator with a comprehensive school teacher education as a foundation.
Your role as a colleague is deeply linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in the development of yourself and the operations. At our workplace, this means that you have good cooperation with your manager and colleagues, both at your own workplace and within the rest of the municipal group. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through a customer- and service-oriented approach. You take responsibility for participating in operational issues and are solution-oriented.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that your view of collaboration aligns with ours.
We apply register checks (extracts from the criminal record) as a form of suitability assessment for all who are offered employment in operations where there is direct and regular contact with children and young people.
Do you want to be part of our success? We welcome your application!
At Gislaved Municipality, full-time work is a right, and therefore vacant positions are advertised as full-time. When the operation can accommodate part-time work, this is of course an option. Positions shorter than 3 months and certain roles may be exempted. In connection with the recruitment process, Gislaved Municipality has taken a stance on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore explicitly decline contact with media salespeople, recruitment sites, and similar.
