To Borbackaskola, we are looking for you who are driven by challenges, joy, and good cooperation. Our school is a grades 1-6 school with approximately 150 students in the eastern part of Värnamo town. The school, located in the heart of the community of Bor, was built in 1959 and renovated in 1997 to provide bright and functional premises. Adjacent to Borbackaskola are the after-school center Gårdshuset and the middle school Bors skola. The work climate at the school is good, and we strive for good collaboration within and between our operations, as well as ensuring that everyone at the school, staff and students alike, reaches their full potential and contributes to a good social and pedagogical work environment.

Job Duties

We are now looking for an engaged, secure, and structured employee for our team. This position suits you if you enjoy variety in your work, like working closely with students and staff, and have a calm and responsible approach.

You have a genuine interest in building good relationships and meet students with a low-affective (calm and supportive) approach. You contribute to creating a safe, positive, and predictable school environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop both academically and socially.

As a school support staff member, you will:

• Support students in the classroom and in various learning environments based on their needs
• Work with individual students or small groups
• Strengthen students' social development and be a support in interactions with others
• Contribute to safety and presence during breaks and transitions
• Work relationally and preventively to create a calm and inclusive environment
• Collaborate with teachers, student health services, and other staff

We value good cooperation with guardians and see it as an important part of creating a holistic and continuous approach to students' development.

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education (further post-secondary education is meritorious)
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing
• Experience working in schools or with children and young people is meritorious

Conditions

We conduct ongoing selection and interviews. The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

Department of Children and Education. Our department is responsible for preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adult education, and arts schools in the municipality.
