Are you excited to work in a brand-new school together with us? Together with excellent facilities and high competence, we provide students in Vaggeryd Municipality with great educational opportunities.
At Hjortsjöskolan grades 4-6, all staff work in close collaboration, and our "VI-feeling" (sense of togetherness) is our strength. This autumn, we have approximately 340 students aged 10-12, and you will have about 45 colleagues. Our operations also include an after-school center and a special education group. The school has a student health team consisting of two special education teachers, a special needs pedagogue, a school counselor, and a school nurse. We also have a large, nice school library with a teacher-librarian who supports students and teachers with literature selection and work.
Our focus areas and competence development areas are that all staff work with language development and continuously improve our teaching. We work with these areas both within the school and at the municipal level.
You are a natural leader for the students, and you are responsible for good teaching with planning, implementation, and follow-up. You are part of a grade-level team, and within the team, you are divided into trios that have the main responsibility for two classes within the grade.
QualificationsWe are looking for you who are a certified lower secondary school teacher. Here, you must be a team player as we work a lot together, both as colleagues and as critical friends. We believe in developing together, and the greatest effect of this is the students' learning and development.
We are looking for you who is a clear leader for the students, achieved by building relationships. You are engaged, resilient, and able to adjust/precise teaching to benefit students' learning, ensuring there is always something to do. We are looking for you who has a salutogenic view of students and thus a motivating approach where you believe that all students can develop and learn new knowledge.
