Granelundsskolan is a modern F–6 school with an after-school center that opened in the autumn term of 2025. The school is located in the northern part of Tranås, close to both nature and the city center. Here, students and staff meet in bright, well-equipped premises that create good conditions for learning and development.

We have purpose-built rooms for music, physical education, art, home economics and consumer studies, as well as handicrafts. Our operations are characterized by close collaboration between school leadership, student health services, and educators, where we together create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for every student.

We are now looking for an engaged special needs teacher who wants to help develop our special educational work and contribute to ensuring that all students have the best possible conditions for success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special needs teacher, you play a vital role in the school's work to create an accessible learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop based on their individual prerequisites.

You work both preventively and supportively by providing individual support and instruction in small groups. You conduct pedagogical assessments, diagnostics, and tests, create action plans, and mentor educators in special educational work.

You will also be involved in developing and establishing the school's pedagogical workshop together with other colleagues.

As a natural part of the role, you are included in the school's student health team and collaborate closely with teachers, after-school staff, guardians, and other professionals to ensure that students in need of extra adjustments and special support receive the right interventions.

You are responsible for the planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of the special educational work in accordance with the school's guiding documents and the students' individual needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher with a teaching license and eligibility to teach in grades F–6. If you have a specialization or experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD), it is an advantage.

You have good digital competence and use digital tools as a natural support in your work. Experience with documentation in Prorenata is an advantage.
