Your new job

We are looking for a subject teacher for grades 7–9 to teach in woodwork and metalwork (slöjd). For the right person, this role offers great freedom under responsibility and the opportunity to join a team of skilled colleagues. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing lessons in several classes within your subjects, as well as serving as a mentor for a number of students. The position may also include teaching in technology.

Welcome to us

Stadsgårdsskolan is a secondary school with approximately 360 students, primarily from the Råslätt and Barnarp areas. The school is multicultural, with students from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The staff has many years of experience and high competence in meeting students with different backgrounds and prerequisites. The entire school works purposefully with relationship-building with students. This is evident in how adults spend time in the corridors, eat together with students in the cafeteria, and keep doors to workrooms and classrooms open. Approximately 50 dedicated employees work at the school, and there is a higher teacher-to-student ratio here than the average in Jönköping Municipality's schools. This allows us to create stronger relationships between teachers and students. The school also has a teaching group focused on AST (Autism Spectrum Disorder) for the entire Jönköping Municipality.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a subject teacher for woodwork and metalwork. If you are also qualified in an additional subject, we view this as an advantage. Basic IT competence is a requirement, and skill in working with digital documentation is an advantage. As a person, you are communicative and find it easy to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, and the ability to create an accessible learning environment for students.
