Description

In preparation for the next school year, we are looking for colleagues who can act as substitutes as several student assistants are going on parental leave.

As a student assistant here, you work both during school hours in the classroom and during short-term supervision (LSS leisure time) which is conducted in the school's premises before and after the school day. You are an important part of the students' daily lives and contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.

Since last school year, the school has also run a café where our students are involved in the operations with student assistants. The café is part of the pedagogical work and gives students the opportunity to practice social and practical skills in a realistic environment, serving as a good step towards future internships outside of school.

You will have your main placement at one of our units within the adapted upper secondary school. At the same time, it is important that you have a flexible attitude, as you may be required to work at other units and with different student groups if needed. We are looking for someone who thrives in broad collaboration and has a genuine commitment to all our students.

We work health-promoting and preventive in close cooperation with our student health team.

We work with low-affective handling, accessible learning environments, and language-developing approaches.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to students' personal development and independence.
• Support students in teaching based on individual needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff in pedagogical work.
• Participate in café operations and internships together with students.
• Participate in/planning activities and create meaningful leisure time during short-term supervision.
• Care based on individual needs.
• Participate in all students' activities both in school and during short-term stays.

Qualifications

• Trained student assistant.
• Experience working with young people with functional variations.
• Responsible, flexible, and has good collaboration skills.
• Has a low-affective approach and pedagogical thinking.
• Relational approach; easily creates good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and partners.
• Secure in your professional role, enjoys both teamwork and individual work.
• Empathetic and sees opportunities in different situations.
• Knowledge of TAKK (Total Communication / Signs as Alternative and Augmentative Communication).
• Category B driver's license.

Conditions
