Your new job
We are looking for a study and career counselor who wants to give our young people the opportunity to develop their decision-making competence based on knowledge, abilities, and skills. The responsibilities include informing students and guardians about choices, as well as mentoring and guiding students through various decision-making processes. You will work in close collaboration with your SYV (Study and Career Counselor) colleagues, the school's student health team, with the principal as your manager, and together with teachers. The position covers both vocational preparatory and university preparatory programs.
You work with students who need guidance and study techniques, follow up on individual study plans, and participate in student conferences. As a study and career counselor, you conduct information sessions in classes, group activities, and individual counseling meetings. You work both informatively and coachingly, primarily towards students, but also towards teachers and other school staff.

Sandagymnasiet in Huskvarna consists of two school forms: an adapted upper secondary school and a standard upper secondary school. Sanda Sports Center is part of the operations, where sports education is conducted during school hours as part of the upper secondary education. Approximately 1,400 students attend here, and we have around 200 employees.

Your qualifications
You have a degree from a study and career counseling program at the university/college level, and we consider it an advantage if you have previously worked at an upper secondary school. We believe you can see various exciting future possibilities together with the students and that you have a genuine interest in young people. To thrive in this role, it is important that you are self-reliant, proactive, flexible, and solution-focused in your work style.
