About the workplace

We are now looking for you, a special needs teacher (specialpedagog), who wants to develop together with us in the central Child and Student Health Service in Töreboda. Currently, we are in the process of building a new school, Kilängsskolan, and you will be part of this process. Here, you will work in a smaller municipality that works with a 0–20-year perspective, collaborating closely with other services such as social services and healthcare.

The position is currently based at Kilenskolan F-3 and Nyponet, which is a smaller adapted primary school adjacent to Kilenskolan where students study subject areas. Here, you will work with dedicated colleagues, contribute to the development within your profession, and have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge through continuous training.

As you are part of a team, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and are able to communicate and express yourself well both verbally and in writing.

Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher, you are part of the Child and Student Health Service and participate in the promotional and preventive work for children's development. The work is varied and involves many important contacts with both internal and external actors. As a special needs teacher, you have an overall responsibility for the special pedagogical work in the activity. You provide support and advice to school leadership and teachers in their work. You lead the work with pedagogical assessments and action plans in the work group. You are expected to collaborate with all staff at the schools, the health service, and other actors to jointly develop good learning environments.

Qualifications

You must be a trained teacher with a degree in special needs pedagogy or special education, or be undergoing training to become a special needs teacher/special educator.

You feel confident in making your own decisions and standing by them, and you have no problem working independently. You are analytical and have good ability to prioritize and make boundaries within your area.

As a person, you are structured and responsible with confidence in your own abilities. You are sensitive to the needs of others and have a positive view of people. Your working style is systematic, development-oriented, and you have good ability to manage your working time.

The position is a vacation employment with the option to convert to a holiday service position with flexible hours.

Töreboda Municipality offers a monthly health allowance of 1,250 SEK per year for monthly employees. As a teacher, you eat a pedagogical lunch for 25 SEK per meal.

As a special needs teacher in the education sector, you can expect a salary between 42,000-48,000 SEK depending on experience and competence, with individual salary setting applied.
