Adapted Primary School in Lerum
The Adapted Primary School in Lerum consists of three units:
- Knappekullaskolan (grades 1–5)
- Centralskolan (grades 1–5)
- Rydsbergsskolan (grades 6–9)
Each unit is well integrated into its respective school, and the adapted primary school is visible and actively involved in the schools' development work. The operation has a well-developed systematic quality work based on scientific evidence, where teaching is developed through collegial practice and elements of action research. Our prioritized goals are accessible education and a scientific approach.
We are facing an exciting development step as a new F–9 school is being built, with a planned move-in in the autumn term of 2027. When the school is completed, the adapted primary school in Lerum (grades 1–9) will be gathered in one single school.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an engaged special educator for our adapted primary school at Knappekullaskolan.
As a special educator, you play a key role in developing and ensuring the quality of the pedagogical activities in the adapted primary school. You work both strategically and operationally, focusing on developing accessible learning environments at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading and structuring collegial learning and pedagogical development work
- Being part of the student health team and contributing to health-promoting and preventive work
- Mentoring and supporting staff and students
- Playing a central role in the reception of new students and collaboration with guardians li>Collaborating with external actors such as Habilitation, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and social services
Who are you?
You are confident in your pedagogical leadership and have good communication skills. You are flexible, solution-focused, and have a talent for building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, guardians, and external partners.
Qualifications
You are a certified primary school teacher with additional education in special education. Experience from adapted primary schools is an advantage.
You have a good understanding of the target group's needs and knowledge of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and low-affective handling.
