About the role

Engelska Skolan Norr and Engelska Skolan Novia are looking for a qualified or experienced primary school teacher in Home Economics and Consumer Studies. You will be teaching Home Economics and Consumer Studies in grades 5 and 8.

The position is a full-time (100%) substitute role, split 50/50 between our sister schools, Engelska Skolan Norr and Engelska Skolan Novia. The schedule is designed to facilitate collaboration between the two units.

Our schools have a bilingual profile with Swedish and English as the languages of instruction. Our student groups consist of both newly arrived students and students who have lived in Sweden for longer periods, with varying language skills. This requires a high degree of individualization in teaching based on each student's needs.

We are looking for you who build your teaching on close pedagogical relationships with the students and who are passionate about meeting students in their individual development, based on their experiences, prior knowledge, and abilities.

You should be accustomed to working with digital tools, both in teaching, in communication with guardians, and in documenting student achievement of goals. We use tools such as Admentum and Google Workspace.
