Workplace Description

"We know what we can do, where we are going, and how we get there – Together, we take the next step." Hökarängsskolan covers grades 1–9, as well as preschool class, after-school centers, youth clubs, and adapted primary school. The operation comprises approximately 550 students.

Hökarängsskolan is to be a school for everyone: Each student should be in good learning processes, enjoy themselves, and feel well here and now, leaving school with good results and well-prepared for the future. The staff should be engaged and have high expectations of each other, themselves, and the students. The students should be engaged, involved, and responsible. As part of our development work, teachers meet in pedagogical development groups to improve teaching.

Hökarängsskolan is a 1950s school with large, fine facilities. The entrance and the school's light hall are welcoming and form the heart of the school. Here you will find the student health services' premises, administration, staff room, workrooms, maintenance, music, and craft halls. Two sports halls are located in separate buildings on the schoolyard.

We are now looking for a teacher with qualifications in Physical Education and Health for grades 7–9.

Qualifications

Teaching license and subject-specific qualifications for grades 7–9 in Physical Education and Health.

You must have good collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to develop operations and see opportunities. You should be both project-oriented and result-oriented, able to work independently, and take initiative. You should be able to capture and deepen students' interest in your subject, have a strong interest in students' knowledge development, see opportunities for development, and create conditions for each student to reach the goals.

You should enjoy meeting students, have good skills in building relationships, and foster a sense of belonging in the group. You should be able to work with the practical and theoretical parts of the subject in an integrated manner, so that the practical nature of the subject is clear and students train and develop their skills. You should work language-developingly and contribute to collegial learning. Collaboration within the subject group and in the work team is essential.

You should have good organizational skills and be able to be responsible for and coordinate sports days and activities in collaboration with other PE teachers as well as colleagues in other subjects within the work team.

Very good communication skills, both oral and written, with colleagues, students, and guardians are required.
