RWS Järvastaden was established in 2017 and currently has approximately 800 students in grades F-5 (preschool class to grade 5). The school is located in the heart of the new district of Järvastaden and operates under the motto "The school in the middle of the village." Right next to the school is our preschool, RWF Järvastaden, with over 200 children. Our students who complete grade 5 can continue to our upper secondary school, RWS Bagartorp, which is also located nearby. Our school has a health profile, viewing physical activity as a prerequisite for learning. Well-being coordinators are responsible for organizing activities during recesses.
We are a positive team that enjoys developing together. We actively work on good leadership and building trust-based relationships, which form the foundation for well-being and effective learning. Our new, bright premises also contribute to a positive learning environment.
We are now looking for an engaged and driven special needs teacher.
Who are you?
We are looking for a skilled, driven, and engaged special needs teacher who, like us, is passionate about making a positive difference. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and that you are someone who is passionate about giving students a good start in life and the right conditions to succeed in school.

You are a clear leader and role model who provides both teachers and students with the inspiration and support they need for good teaching and successful learning.
With strong didactic skills, in-depth knowledge of goal fulfillment, and the ability to adapt the learning environment to the individual student, you create the best conditions for every individual to reach their full potential. You view mapping, assessment, and follow-up of students' knowledge development as a natural and inspiring part of your work.
You also see it as an exciting challenge to work closely with the school management, student health team, and teachers to jointly develop preventive and health-promoting work, as well as special support, into something truly special.
To thrive with us, we believe that in addition to your formal qualifications, you:
- Have clear leadership skills and are confident in your professional role, both in direct work with students and in mentoring colleagues.
- Have the ability to meet students individually, recognize their strengths, and foster a positive, secure study atmosphere.
- Create trust-based and close relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and external contacts.
- Have the ability to work systematically with pedagogical assessments, action plans, and follow-ups.
- Want to contribute to school development and special educational work both locally and within the group.
Do you want to become part of our fantastic team? Then we can offer you:
- A good work environment where everyone's opinions are considered and respected.
