About us

Bollstanäs School is a municipal F–5 school with approximately 500 students and 60 employees. Our school is a mix of old and new. The main building was inaugurated in the early 1930s, and the extension in 2013. The school is located by the shore of Norrviken, giving us the opportunity to use nature in learning. The school is characterized by security, engagement, and knowledge, and we hope you want to contribute to our ongoing work.

Bollstanäs School has received the award School for Sustainable Development for our work on sustainable development. We work with sustainability within the environment, social, and economic aspects, among other things through education, practical measures, and civic engagement. We work to ensure that students become responsible and conscious citizens.

About the position

We are looking for you who want to work as a teacher in Year 4, where mentorship is included. A requirement is that you are qualified and can teach core subjects as well as Social Studies (SO). Your future colleagues are qualified, experienced, and competent. The work team also has a special needs pedagogue attached and resources. You have the opportunity to receive support and guidance from the school's student health team, consisting of special needs teachers/pedagogues, school psychologist, school nurse, and school leadership.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who:

• Are a qualified teacher in Swedish, Mathematics, English, and Social Studies for Years 4–6.
• Have a good ability to teach and work with group processes.
• Have experience and knowledge of using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in teaching.
• Have good knowledge of children's learning and development and are well-versed in the goals of the curriculum and can implement this in your daily work.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience with or the desire to work as a team leader.
• Knowledge and experience of working with IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools).

We are looking for you who have the ability to create a secure and stimulating learning environment for the students. You are a clear and structured leader. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, have a desire to contribute to the development of the school's operations, and are well-versed in the school's governing documents.

You see differences as an asset, and it is natural for you to be able to adapt methods and activities based on the needs you identify in your student group. You are a skilled communicator both verbally and in writing and feel comfortable handling all types of conversations and meetings.
