About the Workplace

The Property Management's mission is to provide the city's operations with functional housing and premises. The Property Management is responsible for the administration and development of the city-owned and developed properties and housing cooperatives, and assists the administrations in the housing and premises supply process. In total, the portfolio comprises 270 objects with an area of approx. 700,000 sqm and 550 apartments with an area of 25,000 sqm.

In light of the war in Ukraine and based on the Mass Influx Directive, Helsingborg Municipality receives refugees who are placed in housing around the city. We are now looking for you who want to work as a Housing Coordinator.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for receiving assigned individuals under the Mass Influx Directive. The work is varied and requires you to handle different situations flexibly. As a Housing Coordinator, you will collaborate with colleagues in the Property Management and the Employment Administration to facilitate daily life for the target group. You are responsible for receiving the assigned individuals, drawing up agreements, informing about rules of conduct, handing out keys, handling any complaints, and giving simple advice regarding the maintenance of the apartment. The position includes conducting regular inspection visits to the apartments to check the apartment's surface layers and perform basic functional checks. After move-out, a cleaning control and inspection of the apartment is carried out.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays during office hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can start working quickly and has experience working with people. You have a university education in international relations or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You are flexible and enjoy switching between practical work and administrative tasks. You thrive in providing good service, creating good relationships, and providing security to people in vulnerable situations. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person with a strong focus on creating good relationships. You will work with practical issues that the residents may have; you need to make independent decisions and act accordingly. You can put yourself in another person's situation and perspective without taking over, and you have understanding for individuals' different conditions and see individuals' differences as an asset. You are a creative and stress-resistant problem solver who seeks and shares knowledge with/from your colleagues. We see that you are self-starting and have an easy time adapting to changed circumstances; you see opportunities in changes. You like to lead, motivate, and create a good working environment.

You have an interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. Previous work with refugee issues or other service professions within coordination or planning is meritorious. English proficiency is required, but knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is meritorious.

We will place great emphasis on these qualities.

A B-class driving license is required for the position.
