About the role and your responsibilities

As a school counselor at our organization, you play a vital role. You work together with other professionals in the student health team and other school staff, focusing on health promotion, prevention, and remedial measures. You are part of the school's student health team, where the student is at the center of our work.

You participate in school development work and contribute to creating opportunities for change and development at the student, group, and organizational levels. You work solution-focused and have a salutogenic approach.

Responsibilities include group interventions, individual conversations with students, and supervising staff. You work together with teachers in the classrooms as part of our values-based work. You also work with the safety group and are a key part of our annual plans against harassment. Follow-up of students with concerning absenteeism is also part of the role. Here, you are a key person working together with colleagues to ensure follow-up and interventions to increase attendance. The role also involves contact with other authorities.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker or have another equivalent behavioral science education. Previous experience working as a school counselor is a requirement. You need to have good insight into the school's goals and governing documents. It is also important that you have knowledge of the practice and guidelines that apply to your area.

You are a person with drive and interest in collaborating with others to find the best possible solutions for long-term and sustainable student health work. Furthermore, you are confident working with both small and large groups of students and staff to meet the School Act's requirements for preventive and health-promoting work.

You have good cooperation skills and the ability to create and maintain good relationships. Furthermore, you have an outward-looking working style and a respectful attitude towards people's differences. You have knowledge of social law and experience in investigative work.
