Do you want a meaningful summer job where you make a real difference – while enjoying active and varied work?

We are currently looking for summer replacements for a cheerful and energetic 15-year-old boy in Emmaljunga. There is the greatest need during week 30, but there is also an opportunity to work additional shifts throughout the summer. For the right person, there is also a possibility of a permanent weekend position after the summer.

You will always work together with a colleague, as double assistance is provided during all waking hours.

About the assignment

You will be working with a 15-year-old boy with autism and an intellectual disability. He does not speak and needs support with communication, structure, and transitions between different activities.

The work is based at his home in Emmaljunga and involves an active daily life. He loves being outdoors – for example, on forest excursions – but also appreciates calmer activities at home, such as doing puzzles.

Working hours

Working hours vary depending on the day of the week and the needs of the operation.

Examples of shifts:

• Weekday evenings: 16:30–20:00
• Weekends and days off during weeks 29–30: 08:00–19:00 or 08:00–20:00
• Night shifts: 19:00–08:00 (including 6.75 hours on-call)

There is also the possibility to work longer shifts or 24-hour shifts, which offers greater flexibility and the opportunity to accumulate more working hours.

We are looking for someone who

• Is confident, calm, and patient
• Thrives in an active role
• Has experience in personal assistance or similar work (advantageous)
• Has knowledge of autism and low-arousal approaches (advantageous)
• Has a B driver's license (required) as the family lives in a rural area
• Is not allergic to fur, as the family has a dog
