About the job as a personal assistant

As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. You assist and support the person both in everyday life and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the client is, and your overall task is to assist the client so that they have the conditions to live the life they desire.

Responsibilities

Your tasks depend on the client's needs and lifestyle. They can range from personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, household chores, cooking, to assisting the client at work or during activities outside the home. The client leads an active life and has a great interest in their dogs, which she trains and competes with. Therefore, the role involves many walks and outdoor stays in varying weather conditions.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is responsible, sensitive, and quick to learn new tasks. At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction at the client's home and access to training regarding the role of a personal assistant. Additional requirements: To make the job work, you must have a B-driving license and access to a car, as public transport to the client's home is very limited. It is an advantage if you have an interest in dogs and thrive in an active work environment where much time is spent outdoors.

About the employment

The employment is for a fixed term as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and the wage form is hourly pay. Working hours vary based on the client's needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays and weekends.

Salary and other employment terms according to the collective agreement for Personal Assistance, Vårdföretagarna - Kommunal.
