We are looking for a support educator who wants to drive high-quality care work with innovation and new thinking.

Your Role

As a support educator with us, you work in a team with support assistants and care educators, as well as in close collaboration with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurses. Together with your colleagues, you work on developing structure, communication, and pedagogical processes regarding the residents.

In your role, you guide your colleagues in documentation, such as creating implementation plans, action plans, and risk assessments. In addition to administrative work, you perform the same tasks as support assistants and care assistants.

You actively contribute to strengthening colleagues in their work through innovative thinking and pedagogical methods. You have the ability to see the big picture and have a drive for development work.

Your duties include providing residents with support in daily life with service interventions, such as personal care, leisure activities, and household chores such as cooking.

You work actively to ensure that the resident feels safe in their home and has influence over their daily life.

Scheduled working hours: day, evening, on-call/night, weekend.

Your Experience

• Educated as a support educator or alternatively have an equivalent pedagogical education, for example, post-secondary education of 200 YH or 60 HP within the area of disability/behavioral science.
• Experience of working actively with support educator tasks or other experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and pedagogical methods.
• Computer literacy and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, are an absolute requirement as the work involves ensuring documentation.

Meritorious qualifications include:

• Knowledge of low-affective handling.
• Experience of working with welfare technology and quality assurance of work.
• Knowledge and experience of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
• Experience of working with residents with substance abuse issues.

About the Workplace

In the LSS housing for adults, people live with disabilities/neuropsychiatric disabilities such as mental illness and autism. Outwardly aggressive behavior may occur. The staff works with resident-oriented care as well as simpler support in the residents' daily lives.

Salary between 32,000 SEK to 38,900 SEK depending on experience and responsibility. The final salary is determined individually and is based on a combined assessment of your educational background, previous experience, and the area in which you have worked previously.
