The Psychosis Clinic in Lund provides rehabilitation and outpatient care for people with psychotic disorders, where care measures are adapted to the patient's needs. The treatment aims to support the individual in regaining their functional capacity in different areas of life; personal care, housing, work/studies, and leisure. A special focus with us is on young people experiencing their first episode of illness. The unit includes a first-episode team (NIP-team) that works with the entire family and network. We see relatives as a very valuable and natural part of the treatment. We offer support to relatives in various ways, such as lectures, relative circles, or relative cafés. Another important part of our work is collaboration with municipalities and care partners.

At our clinic, every patient has a dedicated care contact who, together with the patient, creates an individual treatment plan. Our psychosocial treatment methods take place in interdisciplinary collaborations, both individually and in groups. This is an important part of the treatment, and we have a wide range of methods to meet the patient's specific needs. We work in an interdisciplinary team according to the F-ACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) model, where our teams include nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, counselors, psychologists, physiotherapists, and doctors.

Job Responsibilities

We now have the opportunity to welcome a counselor to us on a temporary assignment of approximately ten months. Here, you are offered engaging work together with colleagues with long experience in psychosis care. You will have varied tasks and opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.

In the role of a counselor, you work with psychosocial work in a team with other professional groups at the unit. As a counselor, you have an important task in conveying information about social support measures as well as collaborating with authorities, healthcare providers, and other partners. You work with both individual patients and families/networks. An important task is to pay attention to relatives' reactions and need for support, as well as to pay attention to the children's situation. The role also includes keeping up to date in the field of social law and health insurance, as well as supervising students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a completed social work education. It is highly meritorious if you are a licensed healthcare counselor. For licensed professional groups, Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. For non-licensed professions, good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is required. Furthermore, you have experience in meeting people with mental illness.

As a person, you have a good ability to organize and prioritize your work and take initiative. Since the position involves working in a team, we place great emphasis on good collaboration skills as well as the ability to work independently with your own areas of responsibility. For us, it is also important that you have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances and varying work pace. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
