About the workplace

The Social Services Administration is in the midst of the exciting transition to the new Social Services Act, which is not only about how we organize ourselves but also about a new way of thinking about social work. Based on the new Social Services Act, we are developing working methods that are more preventive, outreach-oriented and area-based. The work has begun but we have a long way to go. We have high ambitions and to succeed we need more colleagues. We need you.

We at Investigation and follow-up offer close leadership with high trust and clear working methods. Each team has a team leader who is an operational support in everyday life. Your nearest manager leads two teams and works in close collaboration with the team leaders. We believe in sustainable social work where relationship building, quality and collaboration are crucial for success.

Job Description

As a social secretary within Investigation and follow-up – Children and young people, you work with authority exercise, but above all with creating real change together with children, families and their networks.

You meet children and families in both acute and long-term processes and work to find sustainable solutions together with those who are important around the child. Signs of Safety is an important foundation in our work and we see the network as a central part of the change work. Collaboration with schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), police and civil society is a natural part of the assignment.

The role includes among other things:

  • investigate and assess the needs of children and families
  • make decisions and follow up on interventions according to SoL, LVU and LVM
  • work with children's participation and network-oriented working methods
  • conduct motivation and change work together with families
  • collaborate closely with internal and external actors
  • contribute to the development of future social services and new working methods
  • work preventively and promotively from a holistic perspective

With us, you never work alone in complex cases. When the situation requires it, we are two case workers with close support from our team leaders.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Social work degree (Social worker)
  • Category B driver's license and driving experience
  • Interest in working relationally, in line with the transition to the new Social Services Act (SoL).

Merits

  • knowledge of MI (Motivational Interviewing)
