About the Learning Sector and Gällstad School

The Learning Sector works for a cohesive and inclusive learning environment for everyone – from the youngest to adults. Together, we create a culture where participation, security, and high expectations are at the center. Through collaboration, language, and presence, we lay the foundation for goal achievement and lifelong learning.

Gällstad School has approximately 160 students, from preschool class to grade 6. In addition to the classes up to grade 6, there is also the after-school center, Bikupan. The municipal library is located adjacent to the school facilities and is used extensively. At Gällstad School, we want to create an environment where consideration, good behavior, and mutual respect characterize interactions. The keywords for the school area are engagement, knowledge, and community.

The school area includes administrative support and a student health team consisting of a special needs educator, special needs teacher, school nurse, and counselor. The student health team works to create a clear structure to strengthen the student health work of the teaching teams. The school also hosts a municipality-wide special education group.

In the staff room, we collaborate closely and flexibly around the students, and the workplace is characterized by an inclusive approach. Your teaching colleagues are all qualified and have extensive experience.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a primary school teacher qualified to teach grades F-3 for a one-year parental leave replacement in a two-teacher team.

As a teacher, you plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching, adapting to the needs of individual students. The role involves clear documentation of students' knowledge development and active values-based work together with colleagues. Based on current guidelines and using formative assessment as a method, you work to ensure that all students develop as far as possible. Teaching and planning take place both individually and together with the teaching team, in accordance with current guidelines. The position may involve participation in one of the school's and/or the Learning Sector's working groups/networks.

Qualifications

You are a trained primary school teacher with qualifications to teach grades F-3. Broad subject qualifications are meritorious. Previous experience working in primary school is also meritorious. We would like you to have good knowledge of and experience with digital tools. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required for the position.
