Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged social worker on a fixed-term contract for authority-based work with adults.

The unit is responsible for work regarding harmful substance use and addiction within the individual and family care sector on Hisingen. This involves processing applications for support, care, and treatment, reports of concern regarding harmful substance use and addiction, handling of the Act on Care of Abusers of Hard Drugs (LVM), and supported housing for this target group. The unit is also responsible for outreach and motivational work directed towards adults.

In line with the new Social Services Act, accessibility and user focus are high priorities.

We strive for a reasonable caseload that enables quality work and time for recovery. You will receive close methodological support, method development, and external supervision. The workplace actively works for a good work environment, and the administration offers a wellness allowance.

It is important to us to stay updated on new laws and guidelines and to maintain high competence in all our areas of expertise. We are involved in city-wide work regarding housing, harmful substance use, and addiction.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Work degree) and possess strong skills in investigation and documentation, and take responsibility for following up on ongoing interventions.

Experience with the target group involving harmful substance use and addiction issues is meritorious. We would prefer that you have previous experience with authority-based work within the Social Services Act (SoL) and the LVM Act. If you also have experience with evidence-based methods such as ASI, Audit/Dudit, and/or MI (Motivational Interviewing), this is meritorious. A driver's license and good computer skills are required.

As a person, you are a team player but also have the ability to work independently, drive processes, and make your own decisions. You are confident in yourself and in your role as a social worker.

You have good communication skills, meaning you can meet people with respect and deliver difficult news in a clear and professional manner. You will collaborate both internally and externally, so it is important that you have an aptitude for establishing and maintaining good relationships.

The work requires that you can organize and allocate your time between collaboration, documentation, and client meetings to create quality in the operations. It is important that you understand what it means to work in a politically governed organization and that your chosen interventions are cost-effective.

Other Information

The employment is a fixed-term contract of 6 months, starting as agreed. We handle applications on a rolling basis, so do not hesitate to submit your application!
