Job Description
We are now looking for new employees for the Assistance Team as we are expanding our operations. The Assistance Team has two main assignments. The first is that we handle all assistance cases with point-in-time intervention decisions. Currently, this involves 12 cases, but this will be increased to 15 cases this autumn. The second assignment is that we support other personal assistance units with point-in-time interventions, for example during transfers, showering, or training. You will be part of a team together with colleagues who perform both shorter and longer interventions for assistance users in the City of Gothenburg. Your role involves providing support and care to people with different needs and unique life situations.
This is a varied, flexible, and free job where no day is like the other. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop the work and different working methods. The team has its own cars which are used in the work, and every day you have a driving schedule with interventions that you work from. We operate from our premises in Västra Frölunda, and we have interventions throughout Gothenburg.
The work involves varied tasks such as pedagogical support in everyday life, personal care, and assistance with transfers. Part of the work also involves documenting the development and needs of assistance users. The job duties also include medication management according to delegation. By being there as support for our assistance users, you contribute to a meaningful everyday life.
Working hours are scheduled for day and evening, weekdays and weekends, according to the roster. Shifts are as follows: 05:30–14:00, 06:45–16:00, 14:00–23:00, and 16:30–23:00.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a B-driver's license to smoothly travel to our assistance users.
To be able to communicate with assistance users, colleagues, and keep documentation, you need to master the Swedish language, which means passing Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the requirement of passing Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt.
It is a requirement for this position that you have experience from similar jobs previously and that you have good knowledge of different transfer aids.
It is meritorious if you are educated or are undergoing education as a personal assistant, support assistant, assistant nurse, or another adequate education.
We place great importance on the personal competencies relevant to the position. We are looking for you who show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from the equal value of all people and create a good atmosphere in the meeting.
You need to listen to other people in order to understand their needs. You actively seek out others' viewpoints and perspectives and are receptive to them by showing respect, consideration, and care.
Furthermore, you need to be able to work efficiently under time pressure, balance different demands, and maintain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between the matter and the person and can make well-founded decisions under pressure.
Finally, you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.
Does this sound like you? Then you are warmly welcome to submit your application!
